Catalina Rojas After studying at Rhode Island School of Design, Catalina relocated to Florida to be closer to her family. She lives and works from her home studio in Key Biscayne, where PuroPapel was born.
Catalina is known for her handcrafted one-of-a-kind custom paper collections. She is a designer with a unique balance of creative and technical expertise, coupled with a strong background in print.
Her stunning eye for color and form, and her contagious "joie de vivre" have made her a staple in Key Biscayne, where she caters to a very demanding clientele. Catalina believes that it is very important that her clients feel that they have input into the creative process of her custom work. Achieving a good working relationship ensures a smooth design development and happy clients!
When Catalina isn't keeping up with orders and juggling the demands of raising her two sons, Matias and Sebastian, she travels to New York City and London to attend courses related to design in order to enrich her experience and inspire her creativity. She can also be found attending an exhibit or a music show - her other passion.
Catalina notes that in our frantic, fast-paced lives it is tempting to replace handwritten correspondence with an e-mail or an e-card. She strongly believes that we should not forget the importance of taking the time to personalize a letter, invitation or announcement. Her mission is to preserve the art of handwritten correspondence.
